This was just amazing tonight. Perfect blend of black cherry, plums, licorice, and earth tones, with broad palate and just enough acidity to keep everything lively and fresh. Killer. — 6 years ago

Pop and pour. This needs much more air or time in bottle. Rich and densely packed, with gripping tannins. Would have liked to see some more acidity to balance everything. — 7 years ago
My first Miani Merlot. Wow, this is great. Haven’t had Napa Merlot like this. Like a great young Pomerol. — 6 years ago
Killer wine here. Such pure fruit expression, great balance and tannin profile. So a big step up from previous vintages with the addition of François Peschon as consulting winemaker over Celia Welch. Well done! — 6 years ago
What a surprise! Best 2011 Napa wine so far. Had the 2011 Las Posadas from Abreu 2 nights ago and this is better. Yes, I said that. Pop and pour. Lovely fruit and structure. Seriously impressed by this. — 6 years ago
Wow. This is so amazing! Hugely perfumed nose, tremendous structure. OMG GOOD. — 6 years ago
Fun wine! 22 years old. As I am told this is mostly MacD fruit. Interesting development. Initially pretty simple, with no acidity or tannin. After 2 hours of slow O, this is gaining structure and depth. Lovely aged Napa wine. Not quite Bordeaux-quality at 22 years, but really a fantastic wine here. — 6 years ago
This was pop and pour tonight to prepare us for our visit to the Chateau on Monday. What a lovely wine.! Gained depth and presence with an hour in glass. Subtle, silky, cassis, leather, good grip. Only critique is I’d like a bit more acidity to balance this out. — 6 years ago
