Quite a nice evening winter wine. I got it for $15.99. This wine is pretty standard in most bottle shops and is a nice choice for a Shiraz that dinner guests will enjoy. It's a very deep red with some purple in there. After being allowed to air for a bit, this wine has a really warm body with whispers of chocolate and medium rare steak. There is a light peppery after taste that really compliments the long lasting body. It doesn't show off any of the particular characteristics of a Shiraz but that shouldn't take away from the fact that is an easy to choose and reliable wine. Definitely worth a try. — 11 years ago

This blend of three is arguably one of the best available at an entry level commercial price. It is a vibrant red drop with a light salty toffee bouquet. It has a medium body with a slight peppery spice that sits in the middle of the palette. It isn't as bodied as a full Shiraz but carries the strength reminiscent of one. It's a lovely drinking wine that would easily be gulped down. It would go well as an end of the day glass or accompanying a pasta or chicken main. — 11 years ago

Firstly, forgive the glass. Nice body with this wine. Very soft coffee flavour at the back of the palette. There is a hint of berry but it is more complex and subtle than the cheaper shiraz's from the south Eastern Australian region. It is a very very drinkable Shiraz and a great introduction for a drinker new to Shiraz. — 11 years ago

Very opaque on first pour. It's a very light maroon colour. It has a strong, sharp, sweet scent. It's not complimentary to a Shiraz. On first taste it has a strong sense of an artificial sweetness which isn't countered by a body. The label describes a soft oak and long tannin which isn't reflective of the flavour. It almost tastes like a flat berry cruiser or strong berry cordial.

It would be perfect for a fruit punch, but not as a sipping Shiraz.
