Another attempt in my quest for a lower price point bottle. A little surprised with some of the lower reviews. I've always had pretty good success with wines from Argentina. Not one of my 90+, but very drinkable. — 10 years ago
Wow, great bottle! Very smooth, but strong at the same time. Incredible price at Balsan in the Waldorf Astoria Chicago...$195 in the restaurant, should be $400 here! Wine Enthusiast scored it 98pts, I definitely agree! — 10 years ago
Good bottle, definitely taste the alcohol 15.5%. Had this following the Papillon, different for sure but still really good. — 9 years ago
Another great bottle from Orwin Swift! Really love these big bold wines. — 10 years ago
Justin never seems to disappoint. I've had this before and would recommend it any day of the week. Great Monday - Friday wine for a great $30 price. — 10 years ago
Trying to find good wines at a cheaper price point, for $13 a bottle...It's okay, but far from what I'm looking for. Strong tannins, very acidic with a high alcohol content. For me, heavy fruit on the nose with a little bit of a rough finish. Improves a bit after letting it breathe for 20-30min. — 10 years ago
Very nice! Being mostly Merlot, Less fruity than the original Prisoner, but very bold and dry. Love the 15.2%. Really enjoyed this! — 9 years ago
Very automatic with a deep rich, almost purple color. I loved this wine. Not cheap ($80), but worth it! — 10 years ago
Finally a really good bottle at a lower price point. WW gave it a 94, I'd say more like a 90-92, but still really good for $28. — 10 years ago

For $8/bottle, very good. Deep rich purple color with big bold flavors. — 9 years ago
