Croatian cab franc in Dubrovnik- classic cab franc nose, fruit and alcohol remind me more of new world but definitely a top 10 label I’ve had- the waitress said, “I had to learn a polite way of describing it, I decided on, humping horses” — 3 years ago
Bought from Winery direct- delicious soft tannins, secondary characteristics of red fruit, a touch of pepper, pure deliciousness — 3 years ago
Pairing with eggplant parm. Tastes like a rose garden. Elegant, with tea notes and a touch of tar. Drinking wonderfully — 3 years ago
Birthday wine. Was skeptical when I tasted right after I opened but with a few hours of air opened up beautifully. Tertiary notes of mushrooms, leather and tobacco but still plenty of fruit characteristics which makes me suspect this vintage will only continue to shine. Thankfully have 2 more bottles left — 3 years ago
Aged Bruno Giacosa that I brought to lazy bear. Classic, timeless, beautiful — 3 years ago
Classic Loire valley cab franc from 2001 at the Morris SF. Incredible perfumed nose, according to the som12% alcohol pointed to a time before climate change gripped the region changing the character of the wine — 3 years ago
Classic Napa cab from the mid 70s. Surprisingly fresh despite its age. Doubtful any current Napa cabs would last 45+ years (or clock in at 12.5% abv) — 3 years ago
Half price Wednesday at a local spot- still young but shows great promise — 3 years ago
One of my favorite Barolo producers. — 4 years ago

Blind tasting. Correctly identified as Syrah of 10-15 yrs. Was confused since not California fruit bomb but definitely high alcohol so neither Rhône. Pleasantly surprised for my first Sine Qua Non Red — 3 years ago
