@Alex Binek - very disrespectful. Many factors beyond one's control show results with older wines. I've been victim to poor provenance/storage/conditioning & and I'm personally happy to read a positive result to counter a negative I may have had with an older bottle. Many have drank plenty of older Heitz than this with exceptional results. No reason to "call bullshit".
"...almost barolo like on the nose. Rust red, lots of color variation" @Alex Binet FWIW, Barolo is one of greatest appellations for wines worldwide. Hopefully someday, you'll understand that, even though it seems unlikely at present. And BTW; a homogeneous color does NOT correlate to the wine being great. @Anthony Lombardi @Steve Anderson @Ron R
If all wine aged this well I'd be very happy! Still vivacious with black currant and elegance. Very much Bordeaux in style. Best wine in the lineup of heitz, beringer and Kenwood. Thank you @Jörgen Lindström Carlvik
