I was lucky enough to try the 1959 vintage this weekend - by far the oldest wine I have ever tasted. We compared it with the 2012 and what a difference 59 years makes! The 1959 had the appearance of a peaty scotch and a taste far closer to port than to a modern wine. Delicious though, with old leather and cigar box aromas front and center. — 7 years ago
