Green strawberry, cantaloupe, simple flavor: quenching, celery, dandelion. Would be good with bivalves and French fries! — 10 years ago
A dry Pedro Ximinez from the highest altitude vineyards in Chile: Elqui Valley. Tasted like a little like Sylvaner and Gavi and dry Furmint all together with a touch more Meyer lemon and slightly less acidity. Great! — 11 years ago
look: pale ruby red core with slightly garnet rim. medium viscosity.
smell: medium intensity aromas of roasted red bell pepper, allepo pepper flake, raspberry sauce, roasted jalapeno. overall, sweet and ripe fruit smells followed by slight iron-like gravel note.
taste: medium + acidity, nearly high acidity, medium - tannin, flavors of smoked tomato, sour cherry, ending with a note of sweet dried/roasted pepper.
profile: flavor is 'bursty' and drops out quickly and then hangs in a very subtle low way on the palate.
purchased with Somm Select. honestly, it could have cellared a few more years. — 10 years ago
Lemon, brown butter, caramelized brown sugar, good acidity, slight isopropyl antiseptic nose. 13%. Went really well with the peas at dinner. Tasted even better when we let it warm up. Thx Rina. — 10 years ago
Blason d'Aussierres tasted mostly like Grenache. Raspberry sauce, white pepper, with medium acidity and mild tannin. perfect for our monthly meeting on Storytelling with Monica Guzman. — 11 years ago

This wine was Cabernet, Syrah and Petit Verdot. Aged nose with dried blackberry and blueberry. Also violets and white pepper. Taste was lush but subtle and more dried fruits due to the age/vendemmia. — 10 years ago

Outstanding dry style American Gewurz, especially for the $. Medium gold with pink reflections and medium plus viscosity. Mega aroma bomb, smells of leechie, sweet ruby red grapefruit, potpourri and lemon verbena. On the palate, this wine tastes like perfume smells: potpourri, lemon zest, a mouth coating oiliness followed by crisp acidity. finish is long, you feel like your exhaling potpourri for a minute or so after. Went profoundly well with sage butternut and chanterelle pizza. definitely a sipper. Drink with water on side. — 10 years ago
