I have followed this wine for 30 years and almost always enjoyed it. Made by the owners of Leoville las Cases this wine seems to buck the trend of 03 Bordeaux in that it still has life in it. No signs of slightly over ripe forward fruit. There is earth, spice and dark black currant aplenty. It gets better in the glass. Mineral notes on the nose and palate give this medium weight wine a back bone and very rewarding taste and aroma. I think, unlike many 2003 wines, it will live a while yet. I've still got two bottles. A good this. This makes sense. — 9 years ago

I wish I could try the 2000 vintage. The 2010 was a wonderful expression of Cabernet from La Casas! Can't imagine how it might drink now even if the '03 is aging well still.

Drunk with Jim and Suzanne Dunn. Post birthday bottle. Not often you get a 14 year old Lombard wine but this cab, merlot blend is interesting. Great smoky, coffee mocha nose. Plummy fruit with some earth, spice and leathery notes. Not a long finish but pleasant all the same. Mature and in need of drinking.
Enjoyable.
