Not sure this is Bordeaux blend - no Petite Verdot in mine. It has quite a bitter first taste. Let it breathe! I'm cellaring second bottle for a couple of years, hoping it will smooth out. — 8 years ago
I had this in tasting with an Australian Shiraz and a Washington State Syrah. The Jemrose Syrah from Sonoma won hands down. Earthy with some definite tar flavors. Dark and a mouthful of tannins but well balanced. I definitely would buy again. — 8 years ago
Elegant with smooth tannins. Lots of raspberry and dark cherry favors. Definitely needs to breathe 30 minutes to an hour. Drank 2004 vintage on 2/24/2017. — 8 years ago
Pleasant. Paired with grilled salmon for casual dinner. A little thin; but nice aroma and cherry notes. — 8 years ago
Jammy, dark cherry flavors. I thought it would need food but it's great by itself. I think Old World Malbec wins in my OW vs New World comparison tasting. — 8 years ago
Nice with and without food. Great with spicy Asian salad. — 8 years ago
2013 has mouth-puckering tannins that I didn't expect. Dark color with rich cherry and tobacco flavors. Serving it with grilled ham. — 8 years ago
Alcohol/astringent nose & taste overwhelms everything else. Not sure if this is a bad bottle or not. — 8 years ago
