Classic funky, wet stone Cab Franc nose with detectable notes of clay and limestone. The palate is herbal and phenolic with lots of fantastic, Earth-driven complexity. "Cuvée Terroir" indeed. This isn't as candy like in its fruit expression as some Chinons, having a nice tannic heft that reminds one of fruit skin, and also has a lovely structure provided by its dirtiness, not dominated to much either by minerality or by yeasty funkiness while having a generous helping of both. Very nice.
