This is the Select Blocks Organic SB. On the nose - big wallop of creamy gooseberry fool, guava with a little touch of the sea. In the mouth - a bit subtler than some NZ SBs with a bit of peach stone bitterness to balance the acidity and fruit sweetness- giving a more food-friendly finish than flavour initially suggests. — 2 years ago
From Wine Society Oregon case. Origin Salem, Oregon.
Aromas : Electric, lemon, stones. In the mouth it really opens up with creamy, biscuit flavours. Great length, a nice touch of peach stone bitterness and acidity. — 3 years ago
Paul Mas Heritage Clairette du Languedoc
Fresh 🍋 and 🍎scent. On the palate a little peach stone and white pepper but lots of tingly citrus fruit. I had it with barbecued spatchcocked chicken (with paprika and oregano) and it worked a treat. Good, basic, fruit forward wine for drinking outside in hot weather! — 2 years ago
Wine : Destinea Pinot Noir Rosé 2020
Tangy orange-flower and strawberry aromas. Dry on the palate with decent acidity for a rosé. Refreshing, light, food-friendly (worked with Salade Nicoise). — 2 years ago
Aromas: lime, touch of coconut. Lovely lime-pith sweetness on the palate, balanced acidity. Love this — 3 years ago
Aromas: Lime-curd with a decadent tuberose richness. In the mouth good lemony/guava acidity which is fortunate because it's also sweet, oily and rich. Probably OTT — 2 years ago
I remember this being a big oak-monster of a wine but it seems to have been shackled. Which is a shame because I put a lot of butter on my roast chicken.
Sweet apple and a touch of Malo creaminess on the nose. Fresh acidity and creamy palate, typical Chard. Good but pretty sensible — 2 years ago
Dried apricot and honey aromas. Sweetness not that intense and acidity gentle. Not very exciting. — 3 years ago
Promising touch of brick in the wine's colour. Meaty, smoked almond and anise-spiced cherry aromas. Some tannic grip but pleasingly subtle in the mouth , the cherry is there and good length but all well balanced. — 3 years ago

Aromas: Struck match, Canteloupe melon and salty marine. In the mouth, open, with oak bringing a bit of oily sweetness, balanced with a lemon freshness though not quite enough to bring the tension of a super Burgundy. Not deluxe but great for a Bourgogne Blanc. — 2 years ago
