This was a fun one to drink, I got a kick of flavors ranging from the limestone to exotic vegetation of the islands, a real treat. The alcohol content seems in the higher range, which frankly I like, but not overpowering, which seems to be the difference between Oyster Bay and some other offerings of New Zealand Pinot Noirs. — 9 years ago

I really loved this wine. I got it after reading some of the reviews here. Good choice, last night I accidently drank a whole bottle after eating gyozas, miso, calamari tempura and spider rolls, was such a satisfying ending to a delicious evening. — 9 years ago
On first opening the bottle there is a kind of a funky smell I can't quite pin down; earthy, musty, moss(?) at first but it tastes pretty good, fruit forward- maybe it's the exotic earth tastes of New Zealand. — 9 years ago
A good solid table wine for, pizzas, pasta marinara or gourmet burgers. Not to flashy but a good body — 9 years ago

I knew it was too young before I opened it. Mouthful of over-ripe stawberries. I've had better Meiomi in earlier vintages 2011, 2010 — 9 years ago
Cherries and earthy spices, a light body. A good table wine and a large bottle costs $20. Good for when you want a lot of wine for not too high price and you get to still keep your dignity for not drinking a box Pinot Noir — 9 years ago

Unusual, unlike any background flavors I've ever tasted in a Pinot Noir. Yes, the chocolate and the cacao with something else I can't pin down like cranberries but something different, anyway it's got a tart and a bite that isn't unpleasant but I would like try some other vintages. — 9 years ago
