2014 Benedetto Chianti has the namesake of one of my friends, so I had to buy it... despite the terrifyingly low price point and the fact that I don't really care for Italian wine.
It's just as bad as I should have known. It is light, acidic, and already shows aging in the color though it's only two years old. It reminds me of earthy, amateur wine that you get from a small winery tasting room in a any state not known for their wine. I tried it with pasta in a Ragu sauce, but it only marginally improved the taste.
I keep sipping it every few minutes, just to see if contact with oxygen will improve it and it kinda does, to a point.
My rating: I'll drink it if it is the only option available. — 7 years ago

2014 Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand.
So fresh and bright on the palate, with green pepper and cut grass, plus citrus in the realm of tart green apple for me. Personally, I'd like to try this with some goat cheese or a salad with a vinaigrette dressing. The tart acidity would mesh well with the same elements in the wine.
My rating: If you are buying, I'll take a glass. — 7 years ago
This 100% Malbec from France was way more smooth than it had any right to be. Sure, it's three years old but still - there were no biting tannins or leathery, peppery notes that I've come to associate with Malbec's from South America. Instead, it was just a bit fruity and easy to drink.
No wonder it had 90 points from Wine Enthusiast

A delicious swap with a fellow winery from Walla Walla Washington State - I traded a local wine for this amazing 2005 red Bordeaux blend wine.
This wine was kept well, and had just the perfect amount of age and fruit, with aromas and flavors of leather and black dried fruit.
My rating: If you can track down another bottle, I would buy it. As it is, their latest vintages are also quite tasty, too. — 7 years ago
