Full bodied value Cab with dark tasty fruits. The only reason this won't be going in as one of my daily drinkers is the tannin. A bit too strong for me, which does leave a dry and almost gritty finish - as some have commented. I really want to be left with the fruit on the finish, not the tannin.

A very enjoyable wine at a $20 price point with no major flaws. It's only weakness is the lack of Wow factor. Everything about the wine is nice having bright fruit and a medium bodied mouthfeel with limited depth. I will buy more as an everyday wine to enjoy.

My reason for rating this lower than all the rest is the finish. There is no nose to this wine which was a tip off that something may not be amiss. The fruit is very dark and the tannin's are prominent. They may be too stringent for some as there is no fruit on the finish. The only lasting memory are the tannin's which, is a big let down. I was expecting a nice lush fruity finish but it just isn't there.

Pepper is the predominant note that lingers with this wine but this is a positive thing as it meshes well with the fruit. Cedar is also present and good acidity with low tannin. I'd like to have a more robust fruit to balance out the pepper. Too bad they did not add some additional fruit to counteract the pepper.

This is a well made enjoyable wine hitting lots of positive notes. Very strong on the attack with lot's of bright Cherry fruit supported by medium/strong tannin and acid. The one big weakness is the lack of a mid-palate. There is a distinct lack of depth on the mid-palate with almost no flavor whatsoever. Think of a watery sensation mid-way through the taste. Attack is solid and the finish lingers but it is not supported with a mid-palate. I see why this is priced in the $20 price range. Still a buy for those who can live without the mid-palate.

You can taste the care that went into this wine. The beautiful acidity richly compliments the delicious dark fruits that are every present. Especially on the long finish. Tannin's are well within acceptable limits and they help reveal a lot of complexity in the fruit. Not your everyday, run of the mill Napa cab. Really great stuff in this bottle.

You know this is an Aussie Shiraz the minute you take a sip having a very fruit forward style. The dark fruit predominates but there are some nice things going on that make this more than just a fruit bomb - tannin, acid, spice and the Petit Verdot has a settling effect. If you want a daily Shiraz drinker, this could be the one for you.

Gave this a try on a recommendation at $28. A very exciting Malbec for it's depth of flavors and surprising complexity for a Malbec. Not your typical fruit forward everyday drinker. This is a well crafted gem you will really enjoy for any occasion. Not sure I would have guessed Malbec in a blind tasting - in a good way.

This wine must be very vintage dependent as none of the reviews I read remarked on the over powering funk in this 2014 wine. It is a shame as the dark fruits show a lot of potential. They are just over powered by the toasty oak and barnyard funk. Don't get me wrong, I love barnyard but this was way too much and thus could not finish the bottle.

Beautiful clear color and with a nose that gives away the on-coming flavor. This is bright fruit, dominant cherry, has distinctive pepper, shows a bit of heat, with a slight raisin component. These flavors show well all across the entire palate with balanced acidity and gives a nice long finish, although it does have some heat to it. Not a lot of depth here but for $10 is priced accordingly.
