Padrillos Mendoza Malbec
A seriously enjoyable, easy drinking, med bodied Malbec. Predominant flavors of blueberries & red plum, with hints of vanilla & sweet tobacco throughout, no doubt from the 8 months spent in French & American oak barrels. Well integrated tannins made this a joy on its own as well as a lovely pairing with strip steaks topped with rosemary brown brown butter. [$10] (4/2/17)

Jan 28th, 2017Beautiful clear color and with a nose that gives away the on-coming flavor. This is bright fruit, dominant cherry, has distinctive pepper, shows a bit of heat, with a slight raisin component. These flavors show well all across the entire palate with balanced acidity and gives a nice long finish, although it does have some heat to it. Not a lot of depth here but for $10 is priced accordingly.

Rich and inky with lots of prunes, dried cherries and plums. No noticeable tannins and a lovely long smooth and slightly sweet finish.
