Full bodied dark fruit, solid tannins, jam, licorice, with minerals on the back palate. Ling lingering finish. Drinking a 2015 from Costco in FL. Delicious! — 6 years ago
Back around 2000 or so, in the US, this wine gained much merited praise for cost and quality. It still merits it. A delicious expression of the Rhone at a stunning price point. Tart, dry berries, mid-size body (think Tacoma not Tundra), nice finish with spice and alcohol that lingers. A working oenophiles’ daily red. Available in 1.51 L. — 6 years ago
Grassy color, light on the nose, upfront citrus with lime most noticeable, surprising body for a PG (wife thought it too “heavy”). Refreshing and tart: perfect day wine for SW Florida or any other hot locale. Decent value at around $10. — 6 years ago
Inky dry fruit (raisins and plums) with minerals and smoke; nice body and good finish. Pleasant nose and tremendous value. — 6 years ago

2016: tight, dry, and sour right out of the bottle. Dark, inky berries. Great, dank, floral nose. After letting it open up: totally softened and flavors became more manifest: plum, raisins, minerals on the back palate, tannins softer bit still solid, cherry and oak but in the background, leather and spice. Can stand up to roasted meats and pasta or drink alone. — 6 years ago
