Bought it at the farmer's market in Embarcadero out of curiousity, but with no particular expectations. Was wonderfully surprised by an unusual, complex merlot with intense scents of honey and cinnamon at the nose. Very balanced on the palate. In short: great wine!

NOTE: my bottle was a 2009, it required appropriate oxygenation for full appreciation. — 10 years ago

Quintessential Passito. Made with admirable respect to the tradition of making this particular wine. Its authenticity can be tasted in every drop, by recognizing its balanced yet complex flavor, without the aggressive (and artificial) sweetness of the many commercial labels that have flooded the market in the last couple of years. A real must if you want to know what a well done Passito tastes like. — 10 years ago
