Cullen Mangan at 18 years - superbly delicious and reintegrated compared to where it was at 10 years old. The Malbec and Petit Verdot still seem to oxidize at different rates upon opening, but each stop on the train is interesting and delicious. At about an hour out it is scrumptious. 2010 at ten years and open an hour. It's a closer. Really a beauty now. More Bordeax style CF with fruit but spine and lovely red fruit acidity. — 5 years ago

pretty sure those were estate grapes. They have a Chalk Hill but it is designated on the label also very good

Ron, I asked and it is Clay Hill, not Chalk Hill and Mr. Pelton's fruit from there

Nicholas, thank you so much for investigating! The art inside the bottle takes on even more appreciation when we know all the “why’s” & “how’s”. Va wine is still in discovery mode - when we figure out a great build combination, knowing the details will lead to more collectibility/enjoyment in future vintages :)
