Wonderful balance. Rose petals and delicate floral notes on the nose. Tart cranberry showing little age in the glass but tannins are starting to soften. Brought from our tasting at the winery with Mrs. Grasso — 8 years ago
Baby fat falling away, no oxidation, blackberry bramble and provencal herbs on the nose & palate. Lighter weight and just the right bottle after a long week. Very tasty — 8 years ago
03 from half bottle...Smooth, velvety tannins... fruit is big and lush with black currants & black berry, some tobacco and cedar box in the background. Tasty pre Thanksgiving treat — 8 years ago
2013 Thieriot. Always a favorite and it doesn't disappoint. Firm acidity frames the tropical fruits. Weight and balance are perfect. Only getting a few bottles is one the most painful mailing list injustices — 8 years ago
2010 Nose classic Bordeaux. Palate is dense, packed with cassis, some licorice, tannins are firm but not austere. Long finish reinforces the dense fruit. Started to shine after 2hrs in the decanter. — 8 years ago
Dying a quiet death. Lemon pie, powdered sweet tarts, apple on the nose but a suggestion of heat as well. Fruit is slipping away with palate reflecting the oak/alcohol...finish is short, pear & apple peaking thru. — 8 years ago
