Complex, nice balance, full bodied typical California Chardonnay. Star of the evening's whites. — 8 years ago
Love this wine. Tasted blind with Landonne Cote-Rotie and LaTurque Cote-Rotie. All 2009's. This was most complex of the E Guigal wines tasted...but all 99 to 100 pointers. Elegant, long finish, ripe fruit, hint o
f smoked meat. Wow — 8 years ago
Definitely French. Hints of farmyard on nose. Flavor of ripe fruit immediately, with long, subtle finish. Young now. Would be great to taste again in 10 years. Alcohol 16.2 but very well balance. — 8 years ago
Nice balance, mild acidity with natural minerals notes. Typical French. Preferred compared to Jacques Carillons Puligny-Montrachet (2014) and the Corton- Charlemagne Grand Cru 2013. Wonderful with turkey. So blessed to try — 8 years ago
Lovely, ripe nose. Beautiful expression of merlot, supple tannins. The finish was abrupt, which was surprising. Very well made wine and enjoyable now. Low yield fruit...yum — 8 years ago
Taste older than 2010. Beautiful fruit expression. Slightly chalky tannin from punch down process. Nice wine. Very enjoyable. — 8 years ago
Great tasting of old world syrah based wines. Great concentration, subtle tannin, very long clean finish. After awhile, notable new French oak permeates the glass. Aged 42 months. Very ripe fruit. — 8 years ago
Quilceda Creek
Came in 4th in our tasting today (albeit 98% Cabernet vs some beautiful French Merlots). Initial impression was a nice nose, but thin and acidic through the palate. Not corked. Vintage? — 8 years ago
