The nose has pepper and dark fruit. The color is a deep plumb in this Syrah dominant wine. The pallet has some tannins giving it a slight dryness. This us a big Red! — 10 years ago
The 2011, 12 and 14 were stand outs, dry, goof acidity, pear, apple, etc. the 2014 has many of the same qualities, but it's hard to get past the tartness. — 10 years ago
I love anything Christian Tietje makes at Cypher. This is s big Rhone blend, starts with 36% Zinfandel, 36% Mourvèdre and 28% Syrah. Year-to-year it evolves and changes with each harvest, overall it's a very consistent and pleasing wine. It's big so think BBQ, Steak, seasoned pork chops! — 10 years ago

So far, it's opening up well, don't jump into it or it may disappoint, let you pallet adapt until the wine has had more sir. Acidity is balanced withhold berries. The Merlot allows it to soften up in the finish. — 10 years ago
