Love this wine! Smokey and pepper and spice on the nose, still lively fruit and plenty of acidity. Terrific finish. I love this and can’t wait to try the next bottle. — 7 years ago

Wow, what a great Chardonnay. This massively over delivers for an appellation bottling. There is a nice floral honeysuckle and light hint of barrel spice. But the concentration on the palate is fantastic for such a light wine. Perfect acidity to balance the lemony, flinty, and spiced goodness. It finishes with spice and a hint of struck match that is very appealing. Overall I’d say this is one best Chardonnays I’ve ever had. — 7 years ago

Excellent! Raspberry liquor and barrel spices. Some complexity but excellent aromatics and good acidity. — 7 years ago
Very nice, in a great window. Still quite a lot of fruit but has great development of secondary characteristics and still vibrant acidity. Tannins fully resolved and very nice. — 7 years ago
Very nice, tart red fruit and spice, mid-high acidity, lots of fine suspended sediment but doesn’t seem to affect the taste. Lingering spic and red fruit on the finish. — 7 years ago
Very tasty but not much like a Syrah. If I had guessed blind I’d have said well-made, California Zinfandel. Ripe blackberry, brambly fruit with a touch of spice. None of the olive, pepper, smoky, or bacon fat type of Syrah flavors. Still good though. — 7 years ago

This is right in my wheelhouse. I mostly prefer Oregon Pinot and this really was impressive. Best Pinot for my taste that I’ve had from California. The nose was beautiful with red fruit and spice and a hint of smoke that comes through on the palate with a medium long spicy finish. Very good and drinking well now but will likely be good for many years to come. — 6 years ago
