Approachable with just a few years on it, much more complex and layered for what one would expect from a Barbera....but then again, this is Conterno. — 7 years ago
One of my favorite Napa cabs, and without question the at the very top in terms of price/quality ratio. Immense layers of taste, in perfect harmony with each other. Only downside of drinking a bottle of this beauty is that I end up with one fewer in my cellar! — 7 years ago
Give this one a few hours of air and witness magic... — 7 years ago
Needed some time to open up, but once it did, this old boy still had some life in it. — 7 years ago
Drinking surprisingly well, its not a crime to pop this baby open now.....but of course as with all of Scarpa you can lay it down for decades to come... — 7 years ago
Amazing value from this beautifully floral 2nd label of Chateau d'Issan. Was an underpriced gem on Upland's wine list in NYC. — 8 years ago
Absolute beauty.....medium body, amazing perfume and at 21 years old, singing.... — 7 years ago
Had this as a night cap on the steps outside our hotel, over looking St Emilion. Amazing bottle full of life 37 years in. Once again proves "don't buy the vintage, buy the producer". Without a doubt one of the few royalties of Margaux. — 7 years ago
From the sister vineyards of Screaming Eagle, Jonata definitely shows traces of her sisters pedigree at 1/100th of the price! Great Napa value.
