After trying the Aristoga blended wine last week, I was pleasantly surprised by this 100% Chenin Blanc variant – a far more enjoyable and less confused wine. Made in the typical style of the higher quality SA vineyards. This wine was a rich medium gold in appearance, medium intensity on the nose, offering up waxy yellow fruits, unripe peach. For me it still felt a little understated, lacking some needed acidity. Enjoyable wine. — 4 years ago
Beautiful, very pale ruby appearance - although almost pink like stewed rhubarb. Pronounced on the nose, and then an array of varying red fruits, cranberry, strawberry, red currant. High acidity across the tongue, soft tannins and med high alcohol really make this wine a treat. Partial carbonic maceration really adds to the character of this wine by the master Guy Breton. Highly recommend 👍 — 4 years ago
Bright, rich gold, almost pungent nose of fresh pineapples and apricots. There is acidity on the nose, intense flavour on the palate. Vanilla, caramel but still slightly tropical. — 4 years ago

Juvé & Camps Brut Nature Gran Reserva is a great reason for all those who, over the last decade have turned their backs on Spanish sparkling wine, in favour of ‘that Italian wine’…..(I forget its name….), to perhaps reconsider the merits of a really good, traditionally made Spanish fizz. This particular 2017 vintage is a rich medium gold, medium intensity on the nose, but giving a hint of the Pear, Honey and Peach that is abundant on the palate. Very slight residual sugar gives way to some ginger & spice, then rich and toasty elements due to its time on the lees and around 36 months ageing in bottle. At a price point of around £15 this represents absolutely fantastic value for money and gives a very credible alternative to its…..grand frère. — 4 years ago
