This wine is 100% Cabernet and aged 15 months in barrel. It pours a deep garnet purple in the glass and almost immediately cherries and blackberries leap out of the glass, with hints of mocha and butterscotch. The palate is bright and full of flavor, red and dark fruit surrounded by hints of chocolate, spices and again a hint of caramel. The finish is long and smooth. A real terrific effort from start to finish! The wine is drinking fabulous now, and should still be great five years from now. Enjoy on it's own, with cheeses, or a big juicy steak 30$ CAN — 9 years ago
The wine is a blend of 50% Carignan and 50% Garnacha, or Grenache. It's style can be described as old world earthiness combined with a new world freshness and fruit. It pours a deep reddish purple into the glass with aromas of sweet spice, black fruit, a smokey vanilla accent and a hint of minerality. The palate is layered, complex and concentrated. It starts off with dark fruits - blackberries and plums - then evolves into the spice, minerality and earthy notes of a Spanish wine. This wine is savory, ripe and succulent, and has definitely benefited from the time in bottle as it is well integrated, perfectly balanced and has a lovely long finish. 20$-25$ CAN — 9 years ago

The Dark, 2013, is the first vintage of this wine which is a blend of 60% Petite Sirah and 40% Petit Verdot. It was aged 18 months in French oak, of which 25% is new. It has intense blackberry aromas framed by floral notes and earthy spices. On the palate, layers of dark fruit, blackberries, cassis and plum, are balanced with a silky texture, firm tannins and a hint of lush earth. The finish is long and smooth and a real crowd pleaser of a wine! Pair this wine with short ribs or lamb, or on it's own after dinner with a piece of aged cheese, or smokey blue 20$-25$ CAN — 9 years ago
This wine is fresh and vibrant as soon as you pour it in your glass. A lovely cherry red, the Frescaripa has aromas of bright red fruit with a lovely earthy backbone and just a hint of pepper. This wine is vibrant and fresh, layers of flavors held together by a zest of acidity. This wine is very lightly oaked, medium bodied, and really flavorful and complex for the price! It would perfectly pair with homemade pasta or pizza, poultry, tomato sauces. 15$-20$ CAN — 9 years ago

The wine pours a dark red in the glass, and almost immediately, lovely aromas of cassis, mint and an earthy tapenade note erupt from the glass. The palate is lush, medium bodied, and a creamy rich fruit shows up front. Black fruit are harmoniously intertwined with herbs, mint and chocolate notes. The tannins are soft, almost sweet, and the wine finishes savory and soft. Great with or without food. 20$-25$ CAN — 9 years ago
