This wine has aged like a queen! Balanced, matured dark red fruit, spices intermingle to deliver an excellent wine. There is fresh fruit that is unexpected and velvety tannins that say enjoy!! A beautiful wine! Nose is full of dark red fruits especially cherry. There is an earthy deep forest that comes through just barely. And then the taste or two, again big juicy fruit driven by the merlot but with sophisticated tannins that make this wine drink well for probably another 10, 15 maybe 20 years! Wow, a beautifully aging wine, nose clearly showed age with some tobacco, dried fruits, and a hint of a lizard’s cherry! Gorgeous Pinot from Beaune, France! Had a bottle of Olivia Brion as well to kind of have a US/FR dance off. Both wines were exquisite! Lots of fruit on the nose. Delicate tannins and acidity on the palate. The Patriarche was excellent and I would highly recommend either!! Enjoy!! — a year ago

Beautiful wine full of fruit and structure. The nose is delicate but I am pulling baking spices, violets and dark fruits. This wine brings balance and finesse that can easily go many more years. Since being stationed in Germany and visiting the Champagne region I have developed a great appreciation for the bubbly and this Bollinger is special. The nose initially is mild and hints of flowers and buiscits. This Pinot forward libation is lucious and goes on with a beautiful finish. Such a big wine, elegant and 10 feet tall!! This bottle has a big fruity nose with currants, cherries and then tops it off with cocoa. Delicious fruits up front with layers of depth. I agree with a lot of what others have written, just a nice bottle of wine. The tannins are super refined but clearly there. Just sipping it and enjoying the evening! Salute!!! — 10 months ago
