Owner of The Elder Pinot in Martinborough, New Zealand.
Lucky enough to try a number of 2013 Drouhin-Laroze GC’s this week. Not the easiest of vintages but the resulting wines are drinking very well at the moment. — 4 years ago
On first opening and tasting is was closed and unresponsive, but after a few hours of aeration is blossomed into a very enjoyable drop. Solid tanins, concentrated ripe red fruits, moderate acidity and still fairly youthful- next time I will decant! — 4 years ago

Excellent example of the ‘garrigue’ characteristic prominent in many rustic Languedoc reds. Perhaps lacks some of the subtle complexity of better GSM blends but still very enjoyable. — 4 years ago
