literally like walking around a garden. violets, roses, lavender... fresh rich soil, green herbs. dark black cherry in the palate. — 9 years ago
zesty lemon, grapefruit pith and a little underripe red plum on (an appropriate venue for) brett. nice and sour - I'm in heaven! — 9 years ago
decent fruit. no midpalate, little tannic structure, short finish. — 9 years ago
admittedly a #retrorating here. I think I picked up a handful of these a couple years ago in the hook & ladder tasting room (I think they're family friends) for next to nothing. for the price, a nice easy drinker. I had it with a blueberry compote cheeseburger and remember being pretty pleased with myself. — 9 years ago
I paired this with procrastinating from work in the form of a gelatinous blob on a deck chair in the yard on a particularly warm day. definitely hit the spot. soft, summery fruit. a hint of autolysis. don't even think about it.. just drink it. — 9 years ago
I dunno... I guess appreciate that it's not heavy handed, but it seemed like it was almost all free run juice. fleeting, not grounded. totally drinkable though. l — 9 years ago
affy tapple nose, white peach and citrus on the palate. doesn't knock my socks off, but I'd lay out by the pool and drink this through a straw and call it a pretty good tuesday. — 9 years ago
plump and juicy! candy apple nose, ripe juicy plum... amazing that the fruit is so prevalent. this has kept better than more recent vintages. — 9 years ago
killer acidity. raspberry, plum and game over baking spices and white pepper. complex, and worthy of your attention. — 9 years ago

the acidity is the star. leans citrus, nothing green here. the barrel is maybe too tempered to call it super interesting, but nothing about this bottle is off putting. — 9 years ago
