Bogle winemakers have crafted an expressive example of this classic varietal. Richly extracted cherry and cassis arrest the senses, holding captive on both the nose and the palate. Swiftly followed by black pepper and black olive, the supple mouthfeel fills out this full-bodied wine. Spicy American oak heightens the dense fruit, finishing with wisps of ground pepper and stellar tannins.

This well-balanced red wine can be savored with a variety of meat dishes, rich sauces or aged cheeses. Try a rib eye with blue cheese butter.

This 100% Garnacha offers a lovely perfume of spice box, mineral, and wild cherry. This perfectly balanced mix of flavors lends itself to an intensely fruity wine with loads of taste, a smooth texture, and a pure, fruit-filled finish.
Pairs well with white and red meats roasted or grilled, big game, meat casseroles and stews, complex sauces, foie gras and legumes or blue and cured cheeses.

Critical acclaim:

Glass-staining ruby. Aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, smoky minerals and white pepper, with a suggestion of candied rose. Supple on entry, then firmer in the mid-palate, with vibrant flavors of black and blue fruits and floral pastilles. Finishes with powerful blue fruit and spice notes and very good length.

Phantom has reappeared…Bogle’s heady apparition of fierce berry and sensual spice returns to haunt wine lovers. Marked by a bright entry, a full-bodied mid palate and a firm finish, this wine showcases the best of these three unique varietals.
Rich black raspberries and briary boysenberries vividly surround the nose and palate, while the decadence of cocoa-dusted pomegranate is enticingly complex. Touches of juniper, cedar and black pepper edge toward the full-bodied fruit, charming you to take another sip. Over two years in 1, 2 and 3 year old American oak capture and concentrate the essence of the Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Mourvedre, creating yet another luscious and intense red wine, impossible to ignore.
Though the wine is remarkable now, age in the bottle will only integrate these distinct varietals more. Welcome the winery ghost into your home again with this latest vintage, and enjoy with full-flavored and hearty meals…before it vanishes.

Dark Garnet color with aromas of plum, raspberries, white pepper, Indian spices, and blue fruits. In the mouth, flavors of blackberries, dark cherry, cedar, fresh figs, black tea leaf, brown sugar, and warm nutmeg finishing with hints of rich American oak, lush raspberry, and finishing with a delicate pecan pie nuance.

The 2009 harvest presented very nice fruit. This blend is assembled from three different lots from two vineyards in Lodi and one from Paso Robles. Lodi delivered ripe fruit and wonderful aromatics. Petite Sirah from Lodi was also added to this blend to bring complexity, structure, and nice blackberry fruit. Lastly, the Zinfandel from Paso Robles brings fleshy raspberry, earthy notes and structure to the blend.

Pairings
This is a delicious glass of Zin that would pair wonderfully with a wood fired pizza topped with smoked chicken and roasted red peppers topped with fresh arugula. Also try lamb biryani and a side of naan over jasmine rice.
