2007 corked today along with angus ribeye. Great foil against the cracked pepper/sea salt spicing on that steak. Tannins get my attention, in a good way. Nose is jammy on a tobacco cloud, this one drinks nice and dry with dark fruit and enough spice to handle a real nice cut of cow. Not sublime maybe, but a very nice pour of grape. — 7 years ago
2009 corked tonight for a bison ribeye. Used a bit for a garlic, oregano, black pepper, sea salt reduction. Nose is lavender, leather and very slight dark fruit. Palate follows. Not what I would seek out, but enjoyable. Tannins were mellow and also drank with nice amount of spice. — 6 years ago
Smooth, slightly jammy red that paired well with venison back strap done with an oregano, garlic and juniper berry rub. Bottle continues on to dessert of banana/coconut/dark chocolate 3 ingredient cookie. Enjoyed Thanksgiving 2017. Would definitely buy again. Found this gem when organizing my wine racks and dang glad I did. — 7 years ago
2009 vintage served on 8/2/18 along with buffalo ribeye. Tannins smoothed our nicely. Still shows a bit of pepper and is slightly jammy. Nose has changed considerably from 3 years ago, leather rather than floral. Not completely off-putting but for sure more funk. Pairing real well with the bison I am serving. — 6 years ago
Very, very light, smooth easy drink. Wouldn’t pair with any food with even moderate horse power. Maybe a starter with cheese and crackers? I’d buy again for seven bucks, but for a 15-20 dollar range price point, it falls short. No off-putting flavors, just nothing that stands out. — 7 years ago

2007, opened April 2019. Paired well with a bone in ribeye. Used a splash to deglaze/sauce. Very mellow tannin, bit of wood and dark fruit/warm spice. Enjoyed this one. — 6 years ago
