The nose was almost traditional Gimmonet: brioche and baked bread. The palate was bright and carried some of the toasty notes. The finish was sharp and felt low on dosage with a nice mineral note.
One of my favorite houses! — 7 years ago
Loved it. Excellent balance. I wish I bought more. — 7 years ago
Light color,
Prototypical nose of the Vosne Romanee. Dark cherry, currants, a bit of mushroom and wet earth.
Light on the palate with fruit dominating and with acidity to carry it. Light on tannins.
Still young, but shows what could be. — 7 years ago
Albe is always fun. The blend makes it more approachable. Fruit balance makes up for the young tannins that can take over sometimes.
It is a bit pricey at avg 35 to 40 retail, but I still love it. — 7 years ago
A great Pomerol with leather, tobacco, earth and cherries on the nose. Nice harmony of fruit and oak on the palate with rounded tannins and enough acid to finish beautiful. Lovely bottle! — 7 years ago
Got this recommended by my friends at Gordon's wine. Looking forward to cracking one open — 7 years ago
Still very young, but drinks very well. The tannins need to settle down, but the fruit is dense and the acidity is very good.
A good buy — 7 years ago
Toasted notes in balance with white stone fruit and acidity on the palate. Finishes nicely and feels slightly sweeter than I'm used to, but a lovely finish nonetheless — 7 years ago
Sweet nose that resembles a sauternes. Quince, poached pears, almonds. A more nuanced palate with slight oxidation with toasted almond, golden apple and almost like ginger on the palate. The acidity is starting to fall off.

The honysuckle and tropical fruit play nice with a nice acid backbone and lingering finish that goes great with soft cheeses. — 6 years ago
