Perfect with filet of beef. Carmignano is one of the oldest appellations in the world. Cosimo III de Medici in 1716 issued a bando to ensure its continued quality. Mostly Sangiovese, it has some Cabernet owing to a Medici marrying into the French royal family. — 10 years ago
Very nice, tastes like a good Pinot Noir without the chalkiness. Plum, cinnamon, chocolate tastes, bright on tongue. — 6 years ago
Excellent start to a great first day in Porto. This older white port delivered a ton of mild rich barrel character and honey character without too much sweetness. — 9 years ago
