Rich gold colour, strong berry flavours and strong tannins and rather 'jammy' with a lovely short finish. It brought back great memories of NYC ... — 9 years ago
This Chenin Blanc from historic Blaauwklippen is all about sun-kissed fruit and easygoing charm. Grown on ancient, granite-based soils in Stellenbosch, it delivers a generous nose of yellow peach, baked apple, lemon, and a subtle biscuit note that adds just the right touch of richness.
On the palate, it’s medium-bodied and juicy, with layers of ripe peach, quince, and a hint of pineapple that carry through to a clean, fruit-forward finish. Certified for Integrity and Sustainability, it’s a fresh, savory white that’s perfect for casual sipping or pairing with roast chicken, grilled veggies, or a creamy cheese board. Cheers! — 4 days ago

Deep garnet. The 2015 predominantly Shiraz. Oak on the nose, some dark cherries, spice, and chocolate. Medium-high tannins, medium alcohol. Dark sour cherries, blackberries, hints of vanilla and oak. Great wine for that price range. — 8 years ago
Lighter bodied, red fruit note, sour and tart, cherry notes — 2 months ago
Dark red purple. Big voluptuous nose of blackberry/blueberry compote in a new wooden bowl. Medium full palate echoes the nose with medium plus acidity and medium plus tannins. A classic South African Bordeaux style blend that, with its forward fruit and food-friendly structure, is a great bridge between Old World and New. Drink now through 2027 or so. — 2 years ago

Stunning Syrah from vinyards located in the Blaauwklippen Valley in the Stellenbosch area. Elegant and complex, reminded me some of the Côte-Rôtie wines.. — 9 years ago

This standout Sauvignon Blanc from one of South Africa’s oldest estates is a true expression of Stellenbosch terroir. Grown on mineral-rich soils formed over centuries of eroded granite, it offers vibrant notes of green apple, lemon peel, and a touch of guava, all wrapped in a subtle herbaceous lift.
The palate is crisp and medium-bodied, with refreshing acidity and a lovely mineral backbone. It’s clean, savory, and wonderfully balanced—perfect for warm-weather sipping or pairing with seafood, veggie dishes, or goat cheese. Certified for integrity and sustainability, this bottle brings both quality and conscience to the glass. — 4 days ago
