Yes, 6 varietals….nevertheless, the Monticello tar/singe is framing this one. The 2012 was decidedly more balanced. EDIT: after a full day of air the funk wore off and the sour turned decidedly more balanced and sweet… Worthy of a one point pump ;) — 4 years ago
Bottled 2016, contains heirloom varieties from their own orchard in Applegate, Oregon: Arkansas Black, Blenheim Red, Macintosh and Rome Beauty. Very clear, yellow brown color, light to moderate carbonation, rapidly collapsing head. Very good mix of flavors; their label claims a profile of “apricot, honeydew, tropical fruit and green apple”. I would back the first three claims. Crisp and dry, as advertised. A touch too much wood for my taste, but otherwise well crafted with an excellent array of fruit. No bitterness and minimal astringency. Good value — 5 years ago

I was surprised - genuinely impressed at the weight-to-acid balance...both fresh and polished. Part 2 of the test - chix Alfredo: it handled it! The Sur-lie carried the day :) 17$ for this assassin? yes, more of the 207! — 5 years ago

Blenheim by Dave Matthew’s is always one of my favorite stops in the Charlottesville area. This petite Verdot was very lush and tasty. Years past had better taste, but this was still good. — 3 days ago
