The red lighting really adds to its intensity. Very dark, spicy but sooo delicious. I do think that I wouldn’t be quite as into this if I hadn’t taken the time to taste so many other dark Italian reds. Conservative winemaking but in the best way. Firm tannins and dark fruit, nothing confected nor herbal, new oak has yet to fully integrate, but I trust this is the right call for a wine that deserves medium-long term cellaring.
I asked Luca about their Nebbiolo, which they have been bottling since the 80s that have aged exceedingly well, spurring then to plant more.
