Excellent+. Definite Toro style but leans to medium bodied. Super drinkable — 2 years ago

Deliciosa Garnacha gris, grasa, untuosa y delicada.
Una gran sorpresa. — 7 years ago
Like the Picasso inspired style on the label art. Dark color, with a bit of maroon in the mix. Smells heady with a eucalyptus and linen nuance to go with the berry compote. Excellent flavors. Fruits of the vine meet cherry concentrate. Hint of Indian spices and smoke. Fleshy. Full bodied and full flavored. Nice example of the best kind of Spanish Tempranillo. — 5 months ago
At five years old this was a very nice Crianza Rioja that had aged perfectly. Nice balance and smooth. Pleasant nose and drinkable on its own but complements Spanish food, especially paella, very well. — 3 years ago

Unusual, unfortified Fino-style / Pálido wine from the north of Andalusia. Blend of Aris/Airén (40%), Palomino (30%) and Pedro Ximénez (30%) from organically farmed vineyards in Villaviciosa de Córdoba in Sierra Morena, in the north of Córdoba, quite far from Montilla-Moriles and Jerez (actually, this is northernmost sherry-style producer in Andalusia). Aged for 6 years in solera system under flor. Intense nose. Green olives, caramel, curry notes. Full-bodied, bolder than most Jerez Finos. Super savory, lots of umami. Long, salty finish. — 10 months ago

Deep purple with wide lavender edges. Intriguing nose of red cherries, black cherries, toasted oak, and dried herbs going on. This is a bit of a hard one to put a finger on. Certainly not an old school Tempranillo, nothing austere here but also not a strictly Americanized, homogeneous bottle either. A bit tight initially but soon blossoms into something very nice. Plenty of coffee, spice, and smoked tobacco on the palate. Dark fruit, oak, and menthol, also. Middle to long finish with even more pleasant spice. — 6 years ago
