I still prefer Mount Eden Estate...but this is same calibre. — 5 years ago
The second wine of the afternoon was the 1993 Abreu Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. A beautiful wine that has many more years to go in bottle.
The nose is rich in dark fruit, rustic black cherry, blackberry, anise, black currant, musk, leather, cigar box, tar and earth.
On the palate the dark fruit continues with black cherry, blackberry, black currant, licorice, cigar tobacco, tar and rich earth.
This wine is full bodied with medium acidity, medium smooth tannins almost fully resolved with a long earthy and fruity finish. A beautiful way to end the afternoon. Never expected a wine of this calibre but thanks to a close wine friend we were a la to experience this gem. Continued holiday wishes and please continued being safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 7 years ago
Top wine, highly recommended. Great value for a sauvignon blanc of this calibre. — 10 years ago
Dark, rich , robust. Beautiful Corvina blend that tantalizes your taste buds. My wife and I drank this a few weeks back. I wish I could remember what we ate with it. For a wine of this calibre I would definately have paired it with something suitable for the occassion. Hmm...thinking maybe pasta bolognese...florentine style steak? Anyways this full bodied Gem will make you a believer of the Zenato brand. Dark rich fruit..plums and cherries. Hope to find this one again.👍🍷 — 6 years ago
A touch young and green but a great depth of flavour and good length. Bramble, tobacco and dirt. — 8 years ago
Por favor que vinazo! Nuestro primer vino de este calibre, como lo disfrutamos...en la copa el color. 🍷👌 @Pamela Ciccia — 9 years ago
Great now, but better a day later. Layered and structured, with a dark heart. Stony grape and turmeric notes in a sandy dark chocolate black plum skins slurry that broods. Med-heavy mouthfeel with a really lovely black grape, pepper and graphite toasty interplay. Kudos for producing a wine of this calibre in this price range! Finishes with fine grained tannins, dry, and pronounced but not lingering, but what more can this wine give you at this price point? Delivers and raises the bar! Abragado! — 10 years ago

Found this simple yet apt note online: Pure, incredibly densely concentrated with crystalline fruit, and silky, satin-like tannins. This is wonderfully long, and, although a mere village wine, carries the calibre of its domaine on full display. — 3 months ago
