Absolutely a unique experience. The husband of the winemaker gave me this as a gift to try, seeing as I've never had or found Brazilian wine. 100% Merlot and grown 960 meters in the mountains of the southwestern area of Brazil. The nose smelled like aged St Emilion - bell pepper, barnyard, cigarbox, espresso, decaying violets, and stewed black fruits on the nose. The pallet was elegant, with delicate tannin structure, and ample acidity, exhibiting the bell pepper notes, dark cherry and strawberry/rhubarb, and a soft clove spiced finish. For the Bordeaux favored pallet.. and definitely not what I expected.. I wouldn't mind this wine more often! She apparently also makes the other Bordeaux/international varietals, as well as a Chardonnay Traditional Method vintage sparkling aged 30 months on lees! — 8 years ago
This is a nice dry wine. Fruity on the palette but bitter on the aftertaste. — 9 years ago

In the nose flowers, violet, and fruits, raspberry. In the mouth red fruits, gooseberries, with an elegant finishing. — 8 years ago

— a year ago
