Château Cap De Faugères

Château Cap de Mourlin

St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

Wow, this comes out swinging. Really big blackberry and cassis, with cedar and licorice. Dark and luxurious. The Cab Franc pokes through with some green. This goes down easy. Inexpensive, too.

Red Cap Vineyards

Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

2007. Saw this on the wine list and had to look it up. Sounded great, so tried a couple of 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon tonight with some rich sauced lamb dishes. The Red Cap was our favorite with food and my favorite overall. — 3 months ago

Mas des Capitelles Vieilles Vignes Faugères Red Blend

B&B ? Price

Had w steak. Accessible, good bit/tannins but not over the top, some blue berry undertones.
Likely buy again

,"reds joust spectacularly with the kinds of dishes you think about when there is a cool spring evening that might call for a fire pit— steaks, grilled vegetables, burgers—but the perfect pairing is a rich, slow-cooked Daube de Boeuf, the classic red wine–beef stew of the region."
