Château D'armailhac

Château Mouton-Baronne-Philippe

Pauillac en hommage a Pauline Red Bordeaux Blend 1982

I loved this wine, very light for an 82 Bordeaux. Extremely elegant, reductive, alive ..(leather, strawberries - Château d'Armailhac is the new name) — 10 years ago

Goldschmidt Vineyards

Yoeman Vineyard Single Vineyard Selection Cabernet Sauvignon

Holy crap this wine blew me away. Started off with a bit of an understated nose, but as it opened up in the glass, it was ALL menthol, mint, and eucalyptus. I kid you not, it smelled like I had accidentally dropped a piece of Dentyne Ice gum in the glass. Stunning aromatics. Actually reminds me of a bottle of '05 d'Armailhac I had a few months back because of that menthol on the nose. Balanced and firm on the palate. Drinking really well. Snatch it up if you can find it. — 7 years ago

Riper and fresher than the d'Armailhac. Blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, raspberries, soft fine mineral, soft leather, wood shavings, powdery dry earth and stones. Bright acidity and finish. — 8 years ago

Château Cantemerle

Les Allées de Cantemerle Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2005

Really great wine. Dark, concentrated and full phenolic ripeness and complexity. Fantastic and a great value. Drinks like 2000 d'Armailhac did from magnum versus 750 format. — 10 years ago
