Delicious fruity dark berries and chocolate with soft mild tannins. Beautiful rich ruby red color. Where can we buy this in the states? We paid $31 Euros in France but can’t take enough of it home. — 7 years ago
We usually enjoy Argentinian malbecs, so we wanted to try a French version. Some earthiness on the nose, and every bit the 14.5% alcohol content. Lusty and fruity, with a hint of a chocolate liquor...a pure chocolate, not Kahlua, and also the familiar and expected cigar box. Grippy tannins and elegant. Does this go with tonight's pizza? Of course it does. What doesn't? Lol — 3 years ago
🚨 Cahors mega bargain alert! 🚨
At €29 this is truly stunning but the potential is incredible - definitely buy! Clearly a devil 😈

Fantastic aromas of dark chocolate and blackberries. The flavors are dry and finish long. — 9 years ago

Dark near black purple. Black plum and a hint of graphite on the inviting nose. Confirmed on the lush full palate adding cocoa and red apple. Medium acidity asserts with that appley note. Lengthy finish is introduced by the velvety (medium) mid palate tannins, and continues the palate with a touch more cocoa. This is an excellent example of the original Malbec which can hold its own in the company of similarly priced Bordeaux. Take it to the same places, but lamb or cassoulet are naturals. Drink now through 2028. — 2 years ago
