I have a fascination and tend to like the wines from Corsica, a lot. It's been a while for this one at 9 years old but it is drinking beautifully now with room to go!
Really nice, like a hypothetical blend of a Chianti Classico and a Bandol Rouge. Darker with no bricking yet so it's holding up very well for 9 years of age. The nose and palate are very expressive with red and blue fruits, spice, and a nice tension from the acidity that keeps things fresh, while the fruit and spice abound. Slightly more than medium in body, tannin and acidity, the alcohol is med+ on the label but tastes integrated. Nose, palate and finish are med+. All in harmony here and has another 5+ easy. — 3 years ago
Oh my god. Why did I only buy 1 bottle of this wine (ok, I know why, for 46.70 at garagiste, this is serious enough of a price tag that I immediately regretted going in even after that single bottle). Nevertheless, imo, this wine totally lives up to this price tag. Paired with cannelini, spinach, bacon and pasta, with a touch of heat, and this was the perfect pairing. On the nose, meyer lemon peel, hazelnut, a soft oxidative apple note, nice complexity. On the palate, lovely acidity, loads of wet stone, meyer lemon peel, bruised apple, a nutty chenin note. Just a fantastic btl. — 5 years ago

Red fruit-forward, herbal, tannic. Similar in profile to a Chianti Classico, but a little sweeter. With soy-scallion burgers, Sriracha mayo and roasted Yukon gold potatoes in soy sauce and butter. — 5 years ago
