Nice jammy red. Extra point for great cause! — 3 years ago
Monthly WTF wine group meet up. Theme was “bring something good”. All wines (minus the bubbles and SB) were tasted blind.
This one was tough. In my experience, I normally pick up more white pepper aromatics. My guess was Albariño due to the floral, yet slightly sweet, structure of the wine. Herbal front half, sweeter back half. However, we were told that “canned green beans” can be a giveaway for GV. Kudos to Jeff who guessed varietal and house! Thanks, @Colby Siratt . — 5 years ago
Very enjoyable Wednesday Wine Committee lunch today with @Weston Eidson & @Colby Siratt hosting. Same format as always...1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds and 1 dessert wine all tasted blind.
Lovely aromatics here. Mix of red and black fruit. Tar, pipe tobacco, graphite and black cherry cola. This picked up steam the longer it was open. I’d hold these. I called this left bank 2012 vintage. — 6 years ago

Annual guys WTF Christmas party with spouses. Lots of great wine. I’ll post my highlights with pics I got.
One of the best CdPs I’ve had to date. Impeccably balanced, with everything in total harmony. Lots of spicy red fruits up front like rhubarb, with fleshy black cherry skin, fig, currant, savory meats and tobacco leaves. So much energetic and lively acidity on the palate with tangy and sappy fruits, tar, more black cherries, and cracked black pepper. So good! Thanks @Colby Siratt . — 5 years ago

This producer was new to me. Loved it! The nose has such dark fruit wrapped in smoked/chargrilled meats. Not overly savory and zero funk, but just a killer mesh of sweet and savory. Tobacco, graphite, cassis up front with a finish of blackberry pie, leather, and herbs de Provence. This could be a wonderful wine in 7-10yrs. I called this left bank 2012 vintage. — 6 years ago
Drinking with Colby. He agreed that it was a very nice bottle — 2 years ago

Always such a big fan of these. It’s light and nimble while remaining viscous and powerful. Honeyed orange blossom, roasted and caramelized cashews and lemon oil. Acidity down the middle of the palate accompanies honeysuckle and graham cracker. I called this mid-‘00s Sauternes. — 6 years ago
