Minty, floral, nice minerality. — 10 years ago
Started with great flavors of cassis and blueberry, which eventually became a wonderful fruit envelope around some very dark but smooth tannins. Very bright and mature wine. — 5 years ago

Very clean wine for the region it comes from. Would be excellent as an acidic foil for richer dishes. — 11 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90min. The 2009 pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart black fruit: black brambles, black cherry, black currants, wood varnish, dried herbs, and stony earth. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Very Italian…which is complimentary, ovviamente! Drink now through 2029. — 7 months ago
