Drank 1/18/19 at the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux event in Miami. All wines from the 2016 Vintage.
Tasting pour, no formal notes taken. Most of these wines are very tight, and will require 5-15 years to really come together. Many will likely improve a few points with time.
Delicious black fruit. More complexity and depth than the Grand Puy Ducasse. — 6 years ago

Château Grand-Puy Ducasse ‘Prelude a Grand-Puy Ducasse’ Pauillac 2016: Full-bodied. Distinct medium-plus tannins. High acidity. Blackberry. Plum. Cassis. Vanilla. Earth. Oak. Long dry finish. Consisting of a fine mix of Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot, this blend hits all the right notes: elegant & smooth, rich & ripe. Bottom line, this is a beautiful, well-made wine. If I had a second bottle, I would definitely cellar as time will only benefit it. Great day to all! Cheers🍷 — 2 years ago
Vinho bem concentrado, ótimo equilíbrio. Se desenvolve bem na boca onde se destaca a sua mineralidade. Bastante persistente com final de boca onde predominam especiarias. — 7 years ago
Very under the radar Bordeaux 2nd label. — 11 years ago
Second take on this pauillac made by grand puy Ducasse. The nose is intense upon opening with black currant, cedar, cigar, even chocolate. Exquisite. The palate is nice too. Very strong acid backbone and some matter on the sides. Currant, width, a silky layer. Fine tannins to kick things up a bit before a nice curranty, cedary, long lasting finish. Not at grand cru level but still a very enjoyable pauillac. Highly recommended. — 6 years ago
