Barnyard nose, funky black berries, ends light. — 7 years ago
Awesome! Great texture, citrus, baked apple, floral. — a year ago
Very young at the mo but already incredibly expressive and animated with an hour or two in glass/decanter. Opens up with a wonderful mix of wood spice, heather, lavender, coffee grounds, hickory, wet bark, but also an attractive blueberry skin, blueberry muffin/pie richness and a perfumed violet infused soap high note (in a good way). There are also background notes of miso and stewed porcini mushrooms, plenty of umami action along with some smoky bacon notes. Already showing admirable aromatic complexity.
The palate lacks the complexity of the nose at the moment though there’s plenty of sinewy tannin and vibrant acidity with that ripe blueberry fruit and earthy wood spice showing on a decent finish, still needs a few years to shine but on this first taste it’s incredibly promising. — 5 years ago

Some decent complexity in the nose, quite iodine, smoky with some sushi seaweed along with stewed apple, orchard floor, orange blossom, manuka honey & honey comb.
Palate has plenty of that rich, baked red apple, again some orange butters and lemon zest with some ginger on the warming finish. Quite rich in style and lacking a bit acidic structure, the hot 2018 vintage shows here. Maybe not one to age for more than 5 or so years. — 4 years ago

Delicate, gentle acids, really great, want to explore more, unusual for a Chenin. — a year ago
