A bit of heat, cherry, garrigue, black olive, blackberry too. The palate is strong with acid and powerful. Good tannins and juice, rather thin matter. Very long finish with fruit. Cool, unusual rasteau

Had this pesky damp vanilla note at first (like the one I've experienced on '10 Domain Wardy Beqaa Syrah.) But this subsided over time to reveal overripe red fruit and gripping tannin. Not sure if oak if the off-note culprit here. Very distinctive. — 7 years ago
