Next visit: Domaine Montanet-Thoden. Organic farming, slow fermentation and little sulphur used. The father of our host (Mr. Thoden) takes care of the fruit in the vineyard. Clos Dû is a vineyard with clay and limestone soil. Great structured chardonnay with a strong mineral backbone. — 9 years ago
Bright and snappy up front with dark fruit flavors coming through; a medium to high acid and almost a creamy mouthfeel that lingers just enough to leave you wanting more — 2 months ago
Killer value and quality for the price. Every Montanet wine is a surprise. Pure, aromatic, soft, balanced, and feminine. I could drink this everyday. — 8 years ago
If you can get past the bret ~ it's a pretty fantastic basic Bourgogne — 9 years ago
