L'Anglore Cuvee des Caprices Chasselas 2023

Rest in peace, Justin Chearno.
Listening to his name ring out in every conversation around me here at Le Verre Volé in Paris, a restaurant which was more like a cathedral to him, a shrine where he was both worshipper and deity, I remember my friend and the great gifts he gave me. Everything tasted better with Justin at my side. I felt smarter, stronger, and cooler. So did everyone around him. Losing him is like losing one of your senses; it’s just suddenly that much harder to interpret the world around me. I miss him.

À La Source Vallée du Rhône Red Rhone Blend 2019

Vin de Rouge simple table wine recommended by my favorite wine shop in Iowa City!

Open to thoughts on this wine! The bottle says 2019 BUT the cork says 2011 and has a pretty moderate amount of sediment!
@Severn Goodwin @Eric L. @David L @Mike R

Interesting; this taste like a combination of cherry black licorice liqueur, potpourri, cherry pie, black tea leaves, graphitet wet soil, boysenberry, eucalyptus, almost sweet, no tannins!

I am leaning towards the 2011! Thoughts? 🤷‍♀️🤔
I tried to put the vintage as 2112..Delectable would not go for it! Yep..my generation check!

Revisiting this wine this evening! An absolutely fun adventure which makes wine so interesting to explore! I appreciate everyone's comments and I think @Eric L. is correct in the producer using low SO2. What a difference biodynamic applications produce! This is an entry (very) wine yet so complex at the same time! Whole Cluster on steroids! Think pancake syrup..but this is black strap molasses. Interesting wine for sure!
Conclusion. Vintage 2019 despite the cork. 🤗👍
