A fantastic aged Riesling that barely shows its 23 years of age. The nose was fresh and crisp with just a kiss of marmalade from the botrytis, however there was no notion of petrol which is all but unheard of for an old Mosel Riesling. The palate was gently sweet, almost like a young Kabinett but the complexity and richness of the wine was all old Auslese. — 9 years ago

Nice hazy orange hue. Stro g smell of lemonheads candy- kind of a dark saccharine sweet. Some scent of lily or jasmine. Taste is tart apple cider (and the look is too). Low tannins. Goes will with variety of food. Taste is more fruity and floral with a slightly blunt bitter end. Smell and taste on different wavelengths and it's wonderful. Recommend. Good buy for the vintage. — 8 years ago
